Works on Broadway Green 2B remain on programme

Works on Broadway Green 2B remain on programme despite the inclement weather.

The infilling works beneath Crossley Bridge have been completed and the spine road embankment is almost up to its full height.

Traffic management was deployed on Broadway on 6th January and will remain in place until October. Northbound traffic is restricted to a single lane but disruption has been minimized due to the advance notification signs and close liaison with Oldham Council, Highways England, TfGM and the Emergency Services.

The current phase of works sees existing services that run through the bridge beams being replaced by new services so that the bridge beam removal can commence in April. Openreach, United Utilities, Electricity NorthWest and Virgin Media will all be undertaking works in the coming months.
