Work progressing well at Withernwick II wind farm

Work is progressing well at Withernwick II wind farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire. All four bases are now cast for the Senvion MM92 2.05MW wind turbines.  All of the tracks and crane pads are constructed and are awaiting a final trim. 

This project is believed to be the first UK wind farm to be financed without the requirement of government subsidies or support mechanisms. The project represents a major milestone for the UK onshore wind energy market.

Withernwick ll is an 8.2 MW extension to the existing Energiekontor wind farm built in 2013 and will take the overall capacity to 26.65MW. 

Work is to set to be complete in Spring 2019.
