New ASDA superstore in Birkenhead complete

Cheetham Hill Construction has completed construction work on the new ASDA Superstore in Birkenhead.
The nine month £2.7million development project for RG Group/Goldbeck has incorporated groundworks, enabling works and undercroft car park construction.
The remaining scope of works included bulk earthworks, drainage, waterproofing systems, groundworks to the multi-storey car park, lift shaft and travelator base construction, overhead pedestrian bridge link construction, extensive concrete works including ground beams, retaining walls, isolated columns bases and access ramp, together with tarmac surfacing, road markings, street furniture and bollards.
The store will be officially open to the public at 10am on Tuesday 1st November.
