Help Lee raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society

Here’s Lee’s story…

In September 2022, I will be running the Great North Run and raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. 57,000 dedicated and determined runners makes the Great North Run the world’s biggest and best half marathon event.  The run is 13.5miles long and the route is located in the centre of Newcastle.

I am proud to join a society in helping to find a cure for dementia. An illness which my grandad sadly passed away as a result of (when I was young) and my uncle who has recently been diagnosed and is suffering every day with this illness. Dementia does not only affect those who have been diagnosed, but it also affects all those close to a loved one who has suffered.  

The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
