CHC join the Construction Protocol

The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) is an arm’s length body of the Home Office. They are authorised under the Modern Slavery Act to investigate and prosecute offences of exploitation within the labour market.

CHC have signed up to the Construction Protocol to work collaboratively with the GLAA to share information that will stop or prevent the exploitation of workers.

This joint agreement has been signed by the biggest names in UK Construction and Civil Engineering.

By signing up to the agreement with the GLAA CHC are committed to: 

• Working in partnership to protect vulnerable workers
• Sharing information, where possible, to help stop or prevent the exploitation of workers
• Working together to manage information sensitively and confidentially  
• Raising awareness with our supply chain
• Maintaining momentum through this protocol by communicating regularly
