Broadway Green Highly Commended

On Friday 11th October at the CECA NW awards the team at Broadway Green were highly commended in the £1m - £5m category.

We are currently undertaking the next phase of works on the project which includes:

• Remediation of earthworks, removal of peat deposits and surcharging of areas for embankment construction,
• Earthworks and below ground constraints removal, circa 30,000m3,
• A further 45,000m3 from previous phasing stockpiles, processed and utilised as fill to the S38 embankment,
Innovative techniques toward drying the saturated material into a reusable commodity,
• Embankment stabilisation upholding the main A663 highway,
• Highway Construction; Section 38 and 278 works interlinking the Crossley Bridge junction and associated embankments,
• Reinforced concrete retaining walls, together with parapet system above,
• Gabion walling to a surface water outfall,
• New utilities installation and existing utilities diversions
• Demolition of the existing bridge structure,
• Drainage (surface water and filter drains),
• Fencing, road restraint systems, soft landscaping.

Mike Goodier commented “we were delighted to receive this award and be recognised for the work that has been undertaken to date on the project which utilises the core of our in-house capabilities; earthworks remediation, pipe laying, infrastructure and project management. Works to the remaining phase are progressing well and on programme for completion in late 2020.”
