CHC donate to 1st Shaw Scouts

CHC recently donated a number of fire extinguishers to the 1st Shaw Scouts. This has enabled 26 scouts to participate in their Fire Safety Activity Badge.

As part of the badge the scouts have learned what action should be taken and why, if they discover a fire has broken out. Through the donation of the fire extinguishers the scouts are now able to identify the different types such as water, dry powder, foam and carbon dioxide and which types of fire they should be used on.

CHC Site Agent and 1st Shaw Scout Leader, Marc O’Neill said the scouts thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activity and thanked CHC for the continued support of the scouting activities work programme.
