Cheetham Hill Construction is an experienced Principal Contractor and fully understands its responsibilities under the Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations.
We promote a culture of collective responsibility and actively maintain a positive safety culture. All our employees work in accordance with our OHSAS 18001 accredited Integrated Management System, which provides clear guidance and instruction to our site teams and ensures that they follow the requirements of legislation and best practice. Certification to this standard has been held since 2008.
Our Site Managers are responsible for completing Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments and take ownership of site safety issues and documentation. They are supported by our QESH Manager where assistance is required.
We monitor and ensure that our sites comply with the requirements of legislation through programmed audits and inspections, our external auditors SGS (UKAS 0005) also audit our head office and sites every six months to monitor our compliance against the OHSAS 18001 standard.
