Work at Frodsham Wind Farm is well underway
Work is now well underway on the Frodsham Wind Farm Project in Cheshire.
Approximately 7km of stone tracks have been completed on site to create access for the delivery of the turbine components, together with upgrades to a further 4km. Construction work is now focused on the two substations and piling and casting of the turbine bases.
Cheetham Hill Construction has been employed by Peel Energy, a division of the Peel Group, as Principal Contractor on this Balance of Plant Contract, which includes managing engineering, design, construction and installation of civil, mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
This is CHC's biggest wind farm project to date, with 19 wind turbines up to a height of 125m being installed on the site. Consent has been granted for turbines up to 3MW capacity, a total of up to 57MW installed capacity. The wind farm will be one of the largest in England and the largest in the Cheshire West and Chester area.
