CHC supporting Stop. Make a Change
11 Apr 2018
CHC have again signed up to the Stop. Make a Change #StopMakeAChange campaign. Running between 16th April and 27th April organisations from across the UK construction sector will take part in a Stop. Stand Up event with sites, offices and production facilities putting work on hold to focus on how we can work together to build a healthier, safer industry.
The Stop. Make a Change campaign for 2018 is focused on two key issues:
- Plant safety, movement
- Mental health
During the two week campaign:
- CHC will roll out the Company’s Thumbs Up campaign. This simple hand gesture gives operatives and plant operators a simple safe way to communicate.
- Provide focussed Tool Box Talks on Plant movement and Mental Health.
- Provide half day Banskman training to employees and subcontractors on active sites
- One day First Aid Mental Training will be offered to all employees
Dianne Tyrer, QESH Manager, commented “1 in 8 men in the UK have experienced mental health issues. So it’s really important that as a Company we focus on the health element of Health and Safety as well as the safety”
