A ground improvement programme was carried out in phases over a period of 10 years.
The work involved the demolition and reconstruction of four new stands including executive suites, sports shop, restaurant and training facilities, including pitches.
Phase 1: Ground improvements including the demolition of the North Stand and design and reconstruction of a new steel framed stand on concrete foundations.
Phase 2: Design and reconstruction of South Stand.
Phase 3: Design and construction of the West Stand and ancillary car parking. All weather practice football pitches were also constructed adjacent to the car park for use by the club and the local community.
Phase 4: Design and construction of the new East Stand, which included new terracing, changing facilities, press room and hospitality suites. A new sports shop was also built at the front of the club.
