The Project
The project required breaking up/crushing of old foundations and excavation, re-profiling and high energy dynamic compaction in the industrial area to create a suitable development sub-grade.
Earthworks were carried out to re-profile the space, which included soil amelioration to Forestry Commission specification.
Footpaths, recreational features and access points were constructed together with drainage, landscaping, planting and the installation of a boundary fence around the public open space.
Enabling works for service installations were also carried out for the proposed industrial estate.
This project was awarded the Green Organisation Green Apple National Silver Award for Environmental Best Practice/Reclamation.
